Frequently Asked Questions

Have questions? We've got answers. Here are some of the most common things people ask about AlamoTech PDF.

Do I need an account to use AlamoTech PDF?

Yes. All tools require login so we can apply your token quota, secure your workspace, and support team access. An internet connection is required for authentication and quota tracking.

Is AlamoTech PDF free to use?

Yes. Every account includes a free monthly allowance of 50 tokens on the free plan, which resets at the start of each billing period. There is no limit on file size—you can process PDFs of any size within your available tokens. If you need more processing capacity, you can purchase additional tokens in-app.

Are there limits on file size or usage?

There is no limit on individual file size—you can process PDFs of any size. Monthly usage is measured in tokens: free accounts receive 50 tokens per month that reset automatically at the start of each billing period. You can purchase additional tokens anytime if you need more.

How do token quotas work?

Each action consumes tokens based on complexity (basic tools use 1 token, advanced 5, premium 10). Free accounts receive 50 tokens per month that reset at the start of each billing period. Your remaining balance is visible in the app and shared across your team if you are part of a workspace. Purchased tokens are added on top of your monthly allocation.

How are my files handled?

Files are processed in memory for speed. We store account, team, and usage records in Firebase collections to enforce quotas and maintain audit trails.

Do you support teams or multi-tenant workspaces?

Yes. Teams let organizations manage members, roles, and shared quotas under a single tenant.

How do you track usage, cookies, and analytics?

When you sign in with an account or team, we record which tools you use and token consumption to enforce your plan limits and shared team quotas—not for advertising or cross-site profiling. We do not track the content of your PDFs. On public pages we use Simple Analytics for anonymous visit counts only; we see aggregate traffic, not who you are. Essential cookies support sign-in and security. We do not use ad-tracking cookies or sell your data.

Why did my PDF fail to process?

Failures are rare but can happen for a few reasons:

  • The PDF might be corrupted or not compliant with standard specifications.
  • The file could be encrypted with a password you don't have. Please use our Decrypt tool first.
  • The file might be a special "XFA" or dynamic form-based PDF, which some of our tools cannot process.
